About Mangoky

The dry deciduous forest on the both side of Mangoky river which are dominated by perhaps the largest baobab forest in the world save the wildlife in South west region of the island with no road north or south of the river.

So, this Mangoky river is the first national river because of the vast enexploited area along  the river where  we can see fauna and flora include lemurs (verreaux’s sifaka, red-fronted and ring-tailed), birds and crocodiles.

This calm river brings the visitors to the sand beaches for  camping and let them make visit into the forest.
